John McCain Climate Change Ad
John McCain Climate Change Ad
If I were an American, I would not vote for McCain based alone on his stance on the Iraq war. Having said that, I do like his message on climate change and also his plans for the Supreme Court (the issue in my opinion that will drive out Conservative voters to the polls despite questions about McCain as the candidate). On the economy, I am not sold on his credentials and would like to see him appoint someone on his ticket who can strengthen that weakness. Below is a good new ad where McCain defines himself as different from George Bush on the environment. I think he has a strong message, but like on his immigration position; I am not sure if it will help with his core base. The new John McCain ads are below. We have clearly now moved into phase 2 of the American election. McCain vs. Obama with both sides thinking about the general election (despite Ron Paul and Hillary Clinton still in the race technically).

McCain Takes Swipe at Bush on Global Warming
John McCain says global warming is undeniable, and the U.S. must take steps to stop it. The presumptive Republican nominee also took a swipe at President Bush, who balked at the beginning of his term at signing the Kyoto global warming protocols. (May 12)
Vision of the Judiciary
NORTH CAROLINA — Senator John McCain delivered a speech at Wait Chapel of Wake Forest University highlighting his judicial philosophy.
Among his comments, Senator McCain expressed that:
- As President of the United States, he would be committed to appointing accomplished men and women to the federal judiciary, in the mold of John Roberts and Samuel Alito.
- The Senate must do its part to bring the President's nominees up to vote (as he has done during his tenure in Congress).
- There is a stark difference between Senator Obama and Senator Clinton's philosophies and his own — in particular, Senator McCain believes that judges SHOULD NOT legislate from the bench.
